A Word From The Pastor
Summer’s over. Our kids are back in school and those 100 degree days are gone until next year.
We’ve been blessed this summer with a few rain showers, but it didn’t take long for that 100 degree heat to dry it up. The plagues of army worms and grasshoppers have been hard to defeat, spray and 2-3 weeks later they are back eating up our grass. One of our members said after several attempts of spraying, “well the grasshoppers can eat half and the cows can eat the other half.”
I started thinking that as Christians; we need to be more like those army worms and grasshoppers. If we were as aggressive in sharing the word of God, as those insects are in eating up our pastures, it wouldn’t be long before everyone in the world would hear what Jesus did for us. Try inviting someone to church, play day, barrel race, sorting, team roping, etc. it could change their life.
We will soon be working on our budget for 2011, and next year’s calendars. So team leaders start preparing your teams for those events. In the mean time let’s look forward to that first cold front.
Remember we don’t care where you’ve been, we just care about where you’re going.
Pastor Terry
