A Word From The Pastor
Psalms 1:3 “He is like a tree planted by the streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither. Whatever he does prospers.”
We are just now starting to see some of the long term effects of the last several years of dry weather. Many trees that have survived for years are dying and Ag experts say there will be many more in the years to come. They are dying from the center of the trunk of the tree. There still can be life giving water traveling up the outer part of the tree trunk, supplying smaller branches and leaves with water, but the center core of the tree is dead.
When David talked about the tree planted near the stream and bearing fruit, I thought of our situation with our trees and how they die from the inside (the core) first. Many people in our world are dead at the core, their heart and their soul. Only Jesus can give that living water that we need to have life and to bear fruit.
In the month of May we have activities every weekend, find something you’re interested in and come join us. We will be much cooler thanks to the maintenance and building teams and their hard work on the pavilion, bleacher and cattle pen covers. What an awesome job they have done. So be sure to thank them all for their skill, dedication and hard work.
Remember we don’t care where you’ve been, we just care about where you’re going.
